Default Finding treasure

A short time ago, I purchased an 8ft 5/6 2pc bamboo fly rod from a gentleman in Athens, GA. I had contacted him about the taper. He replied to me that it was a blank purchased from Angler's Roost and it was a blank that he used often with much success.

So, I contact Angler's Roost about the taper. Turns out it is a Leonard 804, which is an 8ft, 2pc 4wt. I was skeptical, but I went ahead and got it at a good price.

It came in the other day and I took it to work to cast on the side lawn. I mounted the Orvis BBSII loaded with the Lefty Kreh WF5F, furled leader and a practice leader and did some casting. I was blown away. With little to no effort, in my amateur hands, I could cast better than 50ft (from the where I was standing). I'm in love.

Now, the question is this: should I sell the St. Croix Avid 9ft 5wt or the Orvis Far and Fine Superfine?

What wt is the F&F? I'd sell the St. Croix over the Orvis, personally. That F&F is by all accounts an awesome rod.

Avid.. though a nice rod is pretty much a middle ground rod for St Croix.. There's definitely better st croix rods out there.. I'd sell that one

I'd keep them all, but if you need to get rid of one, get rid of the Avid. The Orvis is a collectible. 20 years from now there will still be a Far and Fine cult, but there has never been an Avid cult and will never be.

Is this a trick question?

If not, definitely do not sell the F&F!

(Of course, if you were proposing to sell the Far and Fine to one of us, we would give you different advice, wouldn't we, boys?)

Why do you feel the need to sell any of them? Unless you have several of the same thing, I don't see a real reason.
