Winston GVX on sale everywhere

So which tapers are the sweetest ones in the GVX series? Any opinions? Rumors?

I have heard alot of good things about the 9' 6wt and 4wt. I will have the 4wt on the water tomorrow nymping. If the water is moderate i will be fishing without an indicator so i can get a good idea of the sensitivity of the rod.

I had to get one also. I chose the 9' 6wt. Haven't had the chance to use it yet (still have to get a reel?) but I have read good things about it. Plan on TRYING for some NJ smallmouth. Have a good day folks.

I have several 4wt rods, but they're all 8'6" and shorter. I REALLY want a 9' 4wt.....REALLY!!! Let us know how that rod treats you, NJFly....Please.

P.S. Someone on the UK version of this site said the GVX felt "soul-less" to him (he built it from a blank), so I was spared the expense for a week. The good news on this site might set me back a few dollars, but I REALLY want a 9' 4wt.....
