Best/Cheap rod you have

Craigs List just had a New still in the box TFO NXT 4 piece, 9', 5/6 combo posted for $85.

Any quick thoughts?

Don't know about the rod, but your user name made me laugh. It reminded me of an episode of Chad Vader where he got his first kiss. The girl said "ouch!" to which he replied, "Oh sorry. Face bolts."


For those of you who never heard of Chad, he's Darth Vaders younger brother. He accidentally rode his bike into a volcano. He got the suit from his brother, "He's famous." Now he's the day shift manager of the Empire Grocery Store.

I would have to say my Redington CT 7'6 3wt is the best inexpensive rod that works great. It's no z axis but it gets the job done at a low price of 79.00 @Cabelas.

Guess I was an hour late on that one. Ordering the Scientific today.

Thanks to all that have chimed in on my exploratory entry into fly fishing. I appreciate your input.

It would have to be a Redington Red.fly 2 combo i picked to learn to fly fish. it cost me all of $90. Great rod for the price.
