I have two of the 5'9" 3wt CGR rods, and love them (for the price). They are probably my favorite small pond bluegill rods...ever. Hands down. Throwing a Cabelas WF3F line from a Forbes Magnesium Click / pawl reel, it's all good. And for the record, $59 is probably the most I would ever pay for a Chinese made rod... which was originally bought as a trunk rod for those times when I just have to fish right here, right now, without previous planning.

I have the CGR 6'6" 4WT rod and have tried Rio dt 3wt , Rio Gold 4wt wf and some Orvis wf 5wt and to be honest the rod really cast best with the DT 3 wt for my fishing situations . I fish mostly small streams and rivers and really don't need to cast out more than 25 ft. I would suggest whatever feels good to you and what and where you fish does have alot to do with it. Are you throwing dry flies, small streamers, nyphmes,etc...
