Default Re: Czech Switch Question

I have a 12' 3wt with a soft tip and I find I miss a lot of hook-ups unless I strike really hard. The combination of the long rod and soft tip seems to weaken the strike by the time it gets to the fish. That's part of the reason I want to get a new rod. Many of the czech rods I see seem to be faster, but I certainly could be wrong. What's your experience?

By the way, welcome.

Thanks linked to here from uk site , i fish the greys xf2 plus streamlex its a 91/2ft 3 wt with 6" piece you add to give a more comfortable reach, good for drys at short length and excellent for short lining ,at 10ft its great for playing and not bumping off fish which i think a stiffer rod tends to do particularly when you hook em at your feet .
