Default Temple forks axiom rods

My local fish shop has these on special mainly because everyone wants the BVK.Price is 150.00 for 9 weight for atlantic salmon.what is your opinion on rod

This rod defines power. The kevlar component makes it extremely fast. If I were to need extreme distance its the rod I would go to. With that said it is a bit of an specialized tool. It takes a bit of practice to find the sweet spot in this rod, but when you do.....wow!

I agree. The Axiom's to me have specific applications, distance mostly

Mine have to be over-line for closer fishing and use rated wt for 50+ working distance.

$150 however is a good price so that makes it very appealing. If you don't like it you probably could get that for resale.

A third positive vote, here. My 8wt is a rocket launcher and my go to rod for casting distances to bigger fish like stripers. A bit on the heavy side, for sure, but it darn sure throws some line.
