well the only problem is in order to get the z i have to trade the g2 5wt thats what the guy wants. maybe ill trade straight up 5wt g2 for 5wt z axis and keep my six wt. its a cabelas rod l tech they call it. its ok very light in the hand and has lots of power. with the faster action and more power in the z axis five its a good possiblity that it will do what i need on the bigger tail waters and still have enough delicacy to fish smaller stuff if needed. i can keep using my six for light bass fishing until i can affford to replace it with a higher end rod.the 3 wt g2 is limited i know but its not going anywhere too much fun to use when i fish a sulphur spinner fall after work when im 100 percent sure ill be fishing dries. makes those 10" wild browns really able to strut there stuff and its a blast to throw size 10 cork poppers to 9" bluegills in the spring.

Then do the G2 #5 for the Z-Axis #5...you will be very happy, have a rod quite different from the others in your quiver and the #6 sounds fine for how you are using it. I fished the Z-Axis #5 extensivly untill replacing it with two new 5-weight rods, a Zenith and a ONE. But the Z- is a great rod and once you get into it you will find it hard to fish the others it is so good.

yeah i think thats what im gonna do. then ill have my lighter more technical stuff covered with the medium fast rods inthe scotts and the winston and the z will give me a more powerful rod able to use bigger flies on heavier flows but still have enough feel to go small if i need to.maybe later ill find a deal on a 6wt sage one..ofcourse i like the feel of a loomis nrx in six also....hmm sucks to have high end taste with low end budget.

Better than having big $ and buying junk. You are on the right path.
