Probably just different paint .
They often painted glass rods so that any imperfections in the fiberglass weave didn't show

From looking at the picture, if your rewinding your line with your left hand, the chromed line guide needs to be moved to the forward part of the bottom of the reel.
You might be able to find matching bolts that your missing at a good hardware store or fishing supply store.

Yeah, it should be moved up I just never did. I'll switch that around when I get larts for the reel.
