Default Re: New or Used - Is the warranty important

Very true that some are more careless than others with thier rods, this is certainly a subjective issue. I land on the end of, Good god I must have a warranty! I break about a rod per year, however I'm also on the water 200+ days a year so those stats aren't as suprising as one might think. For those of us on the water frequently or if you plan to be out frequently, and like me sometimes carry more than one rod. Good god, get the warranty that second rod often ends up lying on rocks, logs or nearby brush. The way I figure it is, the rod is warrantied, if I'm too cautious and don't fish them hard whats the point in having the rods in the first place? anyway, my 3 cents
