Jastrout, thank you for the update. I'm waiting like a lil' kid at Christmas for these to appear.
Say you like the 8',5wt best ? Any opinion on the 7 1/2 4wt as compared to the 5wt ?

Sounds good that you consider these very good rods for the money.

Mike Actually each model is fantastic but the 805 is very versatile as it capable of dries, small nymphs combo and streamers. Sean Coombs of Orvis and Cameron of Fiberglass Manifesto fame used this rod on East Branch of the Delaware which is in my world big water. The 7'6" 4 wght would be quintessential small/medium water rod. In my opinion for commercial rods these are great fishing tools . American made as T&T glass are wonderful but almost twice price point. I plan to test cast next to my Mcfarlands 805 E&S glass but my initial feelings are more Steffen esk like. True medium action.

Well, another weekend of waiting is down !

I do not really have any 'big water' that I fish for trout, except the lake and I'm thinking I have my lake rods. I fish more, much more, on my smaller streams so I may still opt for the 7 1/2, 4wt,,but the 5wt WOULD make a great do it all rod I'm sure.

Still have a little time to study on this, but hopefully it'll pass quickly. I do not think I've ever been as excited about something as getting into this glass fly rod venture.
