Cant comment to the 6wt but I have a 5wt and it is a sweetheart of a rod. Quite frankly the 5wt really has put some of my 4wts on the back burner a touch (Z-axis and Allen ICON...love both though). I just bought a Sage ONE 6wt the other day, I chose the ONE just to differentiate from the Zenith enough to warrant a purchase. I think the Zenith and Radian are probably to two sweetest rods for versatility and sweet feeling action.

Nice score

Gidva: Congrats on getting the Hardy Zenith. I have a 4 wt and a 5 wt, both excellent fly rods, you are going to enjoy that 6 wt.

To your first question, yes, that was a very good deal considering the supply of the closeout old reel seat models is nearly exhausted.

I have not used a 6wt, but like the 4wt enough to own 3, two of them the one piece though. I have casted the 3wt and loved that one too.

You'll be very happy.

Sweet guys thanks! now I have 3 wt rod scott A4, 4 wt Rod Mystic reaper4, 5 wt Scott Radian,6 wt rod Hardy Zenith,8 wt Rod Scott tidal. I wish I could get something slower in action as a 4 wt rod but I am happy. The Radian is for sure the favorite!

Try a G Loomis NRX-LP 4wt for your medium action 4 weight. I love mine for it's intended use.

I have a Zenith 906. It is balanced with a Bauer Mackenzie CFX 2 reel with RIO Gold line. Streamers to dry flies in one rod.
