I have a 4wt LPS II that I've fished once. It's slower than my Loop 4wt which I would classify as fast-action. I use an Orvis 4wt WF textured line and it does very good in short casting but I have to slow down my casts. I chalk it up to adjusting my cast and it performs well with dries. I intend to fish it more this season but the bass are calling my name. Sorry but that's all the experience I have with the rod.

I have the 8'6" 4 what and find it to be an awesome progressive medium action rod with a fair amount of reserve power in the butt. Aesthetically the T&T rods are the best in commercial manufacturers and Tom Dorsey is iconic rod designer. My concern is the turnover of management as their products are definitely first class. I find this rod series to fly under the radar but not because of any issues with the performance rather less footprint in marketing.

Jas, I have no concerns about the new ownership as the young and engaged gentleman is very committed to the company and its future...expanding its participation in Shows and developing news products. Actually it is my anticipation that Dorsey's skills will be enhanced by spending on new advanced material technology.

I've been told by T&T's marketing director that they are coming out with a new trout rod in July that will be a game changer. I really hope it is.
I love my 2 T&T rods and I really want that fine company to have a bright future.

Thanks everyone. Maybe I should wait until July and look at the new rod? I have some experience with a Scott G2 and was wondering if the LPS would be similar in action.
