I traded my Scott 6wt for a TFO pro series 10' 5wt. I am one of those weirdos who likes the really long rods for some situations. That model was highly recommended by Davy Wotton for the techniques he uses, (which I am still learning and loving) and I think it will work well for high-stick nymphing as well.
I have given the TiCRx's shakes and waggles and think they are fandarntastic feeling rods with really good hardware for the money. If I didn't already have a Scott HP 9wt, I might consider the 8wt TiCRx. I expect the ECHO ultimate distance 5wt to be a further step up the long-casting fast-rod ladder from the TiCRx.
