Midwest flyfish kid will become famous soon enough
Default 9' or 9'6"?

I am getting a 7 weight for fishing for trout in still water where I need long casts and also I will be fishing for bass and other big fish, or where I need a heavier rod in bigger water.

I am a tall kid about 6' which rod do you think would be better suited for me?

Will an extra 6" get me any extra distance?

Does the Redington Crosswater come with a warranty?

If you're fishing from a boat, go with the shorter rod.
The longer length make it more difficult to land the fish.
