Default TFO 9' 5 weight TiCr or TiCrX?

These rods are both within $5 at my local fly shop and was wondering what the difference is between them. Is there anyone who has used both and has an opinion, then that would be great.

Thanks,
Pavel

Hi Pavel,

Are you asking about the TiCr and the TiCrx? The TiCrx is a faster action than the TiCr rod. Since they have both see if you can try them before you buy. My choice in a 5wt would be the Ticr.

Frank

I agree with Frank. The 5wt TiCrX is just too damn stiff for a 5wt, unless you're fishing stillwater and making long casts.
