Default Loomis StreamWhisper 8'6" 4wt

Does anyone have the Loomis StreamWhisper 8'6" 4wt? I'm looking for a fast 4 wt (8' to 8.5') for small stream/short casts. I'm going to put the SA GPX WF-4 on it (which is a 1/2 line weight up). I'm looking for an unbias field test of the 3 or 4 wt.

Flies: Small dries (#16-20), small nymphs (#16-20) with a small indicator.
Cast Distance: Short, 20-30 ft.
Fish size: "small" 12"-16" most common.
Tippet: 6x, 7x

streamwhisper??? StreamDance or WhisperCreek. your description of fishing conditions and tackle makes it seem like you should NOT want a "fast action" rod. but that's just me...

(no experience with either rod but thought you should clarify what you're asking)

Whoops....I ment WhisperCreek which is reported to be the rod for short casts (if you like a fast action rod).

I don't have any of G. Loomis' "Whisper Creek" series rods, but I have 3 of their "StreamDance Metolius" series rods (2-8'6" 5 wts and 1-7' 3 wt). If I'm not mistaken, the "Whisper Creek" series is supposedly the replacement for and bascially the same performance as the "StreamDance Metolius". I love the "Metolius" rods. They load up at ~15-20' and cast very well from that point and beyond.
