Default Help with Shakespeare rod info

I have inheirited a Shakespeare Wonderrod fly rod from my late grandfather, for personal reasons I would like to outfit it for fishing but cannot determine its line rating. I have learned from the Shakespeare website that is was made in 1967. The info printed on the rod is as follows: Standard Taper, FY-A120-9'0", EDG. I have emailed Shakespeare requesting line and action rating by have not received a response. Hoping someone here can decipher the "EDG" info on rod. The rod seems to be fairly light i.e. 3-4 wt.. He fished exclusivley for panfish. Any suggestions for the appropriate fly line is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The FY-A120 came in three lengths. 7'9", 8'6", and 9'
The 7'9" called for a HCH line (DT7)
The two longer rods took a GBG (DT8)
The vast majority of vintage glass rods were all 6 weight or higher and I don't believe that there were any nine footers that used a line under a 7 weight
You're gonna like that rod. Wonder rods are fun to cast.
Try a WF8 on it first, but you may like a DT7 better
