A lot of folks think bamboo rods will bring a lot of money. Very few old ones made will command a high price. Remember before graphite there was fiberglass and before that bamboo. Lot of old **** lying around in attics that just aren't worth much.

This is true...but don't make the mistake of assuming that it's **** just because it isn't worth much. Those 2 things don't necessarily go hand in hand.

I agree with you 100%. That's why it's important to find someone that knows cane rods to help you decide.
