linkovich is on a distinguished road
Default Berkley Parametric Deluxe

Can anyone tell me about this rod? Quality, value etc?? I found it about 15 years ago in some stuff that belonged to a fishing buddy of my grandfathers, and I just came across it again in my garage and it peaked my interested.

Heres what it says on the rod:
Berkely Parametric Deluxe
PD40 8'6"
Recommend
AFTMA #7 line

It's 3 piece and in good condition. There are no cracks, scratches, corrosion or anything in the rod blank, guides or reel seat. The cork is good shape as well, it does have depression wore into the top from someones thumb though.

Default Re: Berkley Parametric Deluxe

Parametrics are good rods but not often collected
They came in Standard, Deluxe, Custom, and Curt Gowdy styles
Yours might be worth around $50. A Curt Gowdy maybe $100

I have a 2 piece 8' 7wt Standard that I fish with a 6wt line. I use it as a "behind the truck seat" rod, always strung up in the truck.
A good enough rod to use anytime, but not something that I baby

Head over here to Fiberglass Flyrodders and check this out. Rips right, they're really not collected, but they're fished a hell of a lot.
Search Results

And then go fish your rod.
