After all the swaps are done, i'll have most like a full box of new flies...

Eunan- nope didn't forget you-- I had almost completely entered the flies when my computer crashed and had to start from scratch again-- the 2nd time through I uploaded the first 6 or so to save them and entered the rest using the edit feature so if I got bounced again at least some would be saved. I think you went in just after the first few were entered and saved but before I banged in the rest of them....

Anyway they should all be there now....

Very cool, and if you had to diagnose all the patterns like you did with mine cudos for the extra effort.

Close on the hooks I used, they are 2487s. I don't really know the difference except that 2457's don't go down that small. They are 18's.

And the skirts are actually Ostrich Herl.

BTW, I think I'm gonna officially call those things Hula Midges. They name doesn't seem to be taken and I haven't found the pattern elsewhere.

Eric thanks for the corrections, I made the changes. ( BTW the 2487 is the same hook (with the same shape and proportions) as the 2457-- the difference is the thickness of the wire, with the 2487 being fine wire, the 2457 heavy wire.
