I'll be the renegade here; I plan to fish these flies. But I'm really enjoying looking at them in the "off season".

Allan: If I ever get a chance to make it back to Alaska, those flies will certainly get a work out! Until then they will look nice in my office.

Bear: I hear you, I'm in the same boat here in WY, but what the heck it was still a lot of fun participating in the fly swap!

Hello!

I found my flies waiting for me when I returned home yesterday afternoon. I mentioned this in a post to the AK. forums but thought better to place a comment here.

I would like to congratulate all participants for their outstanding work on these flies. The season is just a matter of four weeks away here and I will post pictures of fish that are caught on your patterns.

Bears' "Dead Prawn" has a good track record with me for Silvers, (he was kind enough to send me one last year and I still have it) I will photograph the new one and post it to the AK. flies thread Brandon.

Thanks again for the great flies and a big thanks to Allen for coordinating it for us.

Ard

Hi Ard,

Welcome back!

Take a look in the Fly Tying Forum, subforum entitled "Fly Swap Pictures" and there you'll find the thread that has the pics from the Salmon Fly Swap.

I'm thinking about hosting "Salmon Fly II", sometime in the December 2010/January 2011 timeframe.
