I think as long as you put them in something and put them in a padded envelope it should be fine.... I am probably looking at doing a size 4 or so...

Mine will be striped foam on size 8 hooks. A quick and easy pattern that you dont have to worry about tossing into snags and weeds.
Should be OK for big gills (which we don't have here) and small smallmouth (which we got lots of here).
When you hit the dollar store for materials, you might also check out foam drink caddies. Easy cut foam, lots of colors, cheap.

Rip Tide- size 2 poppers should be fine, I save 1/2 pint plastic deli containers (used for sides of cole slaw, potato salad) as puncture proof containers for mailing flies.

I've never tied poppers; but would like to try; particularly based on my Smallmouth bass experiences on the upper Andro this Summer.

But, I'm moving from the Poconos to the Northshore of MA at the end of October, so I couldn't make the October 31st deadline. I could definitely do November 30th (???)
