Spring Brookie Swap

Having never participated in a swap, should we pick an appropriate pattern and start tying? Or do we get assigned a pattern? Or what???...

I caught brook trout with my buddy in Madison Me last summer on size 14 wiggle stone fly in peacock color way, so that's what I'll tie since I know it will work in the kennebec river, right of Father rasle road!!!!!

Yo bud you were justy downstream from my house!!! I go up to solon alot and fish for salmon. Or up on the Carrabassette for brookies.



The idea in a swap is we get to tye what we want....nobody "assigns" a fly to tye unless the swap is that specific...ie...light cahill swap. Where all the flies are the same. This is an open swap........you can tye anything intended for brook trout.

In the first post of the new thread you will see the status of the folks that signed up, the pattern they plan to tie if known, and I'll update and mark off with a "RECEIVED" as each set of flies comes in.

And for all those that expressed an interest so far, I've signed you up-- glad to see so many new folks jumping in on this one. We welcome tyers of all levels to participate and I'm glad to see we have some new tyers here.
