Carrie Stevens Fly Swap, Spring 2012

Well we have 5 guys so whether to go ahead is up to you-- some options:

1. Go ahead as is

2. Cancel the swap

3. Limit it to 6 (I'll jump in with something) and each swapper tie up 5 flies for the swap-- each participant will get 1 fly from each of the other tyers.

4. We could also broaden the swap to include feather wing streamer patterns in this style but by other tyers besides Carrie Stevens like Herb Welch (Black Ghost), Dr. J Hubert Sanborn (Nine Three), and one of my favorites by Joseph Stickney (The Supervisor) etc if that helps get more swappers

5. and/or accept classic streamer patterns tied with bucktail if that would also Any thoughts?help to get more swappers

Stl_Geoff- some of the ingredients for the classic recipe for these patterns can be expensive. But often folks tie versions especially for fishing as opposed to mounting without the expensive bits like Junglecock nails. Same fly just tied with out the JC. That should be acceptable for this swap as far as I'm concerned.

I can try and tie some classic streamers, I really like them, but I'm awful at them. I can ask my friend as well if he is interested? If that works out, I'd like to try a Golden Witch. If not, I'll try tying it anyway
