Mark, would you all have room for an extra person on this one? I know you have already gotten one set of flies so I don't mind being one fly down. If I can join, I would tie the Letort Cricket. Let me know...

Forrest-- we're already at 15 tyers- so it's a lot of lies to tie--

That said, I have no objection if folks are willing to tie 15 flies instead of 14.

We had a lot of interest n the midge swap we ran earlier this year, so much so i added a Midge Swap #2 that also filled up (some folks were in both)

So a couple of options

1. Stay at present 15 tyers (everyone ties 14 flies)
2. Add Famill00 to make it 16 (everyone ties 15 flies)
3. Add a second terrestrial swap or Hopper swap

What say you all?

If you choose option 3, I'll jump in as well. I somehow missed this one. Need to start paying more attention to the swaps.

Just noticed I can't post attachments, mustn't have enough experience? If you want to view it there's a photo in my album or its on the uk forum in the fly tying section. It won't let me post links here either, sorry

Recipe for Foam Beetle.
Hook: # 8 Grub Hook
Thread: Black
Tail: White Synthetic Para Post Material
Body: Teal Medium Chenille
Legs: Brown Hen Hackle wound or tied Beard style
Back: Orange Foam

Any Colour Foam & legs can be use I've used Orange as a Sight Indicator, I've formed them however a 5/16 Cut piece of Foam will do the same job.
All you do is after you see a Rise when the Fish are feeding on Beetles,as with The Gum Trees(Eucalypts) over here there are literally thousands of these Beetles around,is to cover The Rise give The Line a twitch, then hang on as the Flies are really belted.
I don't know whether the Beetles went with The Gum Trees to The USA as I've seen heaps of Gum Trees in California.
Brian.
