Mark, the due date for this swap was June 1, 2012. It is now two weeks past due and all the flies are not in. It seems like a lot of swaps here lately have been delayed, some by months, because people are not sending in their flies on time. Do we need to start monitoring those swappers who cause the swaps to be delayed?

Hi Forrest,

You make a good point here, I have swapped flies with members via PM contacts. It seems that lately when we have swap threads many people jump into them and then fail to tie up the flies.

I don't know what the remedy for this is but I am still watching for those salmon flies that went due back in March or April.......................

In the interests of not holding up any more swaps. I hereby withdraw from all that i signed up for. Any flies i've sent may be distributed among the other tyers or auctioned for charity.

Eunan & all,I'm prepared to wait as I hadn't realised The Due date on one of The Swaps & was also late,as we all know unforseen circumstances do crop up,things will eventually sort themselves out & get back to normal.
The Bottom Line is we need The Numbers to make it all worthwile.

While the selection of new flies is welcome, and would be a "nice to have", even for a relative newbie fly fisherman like me, they aren't "must have"....

There are MANY more reasons (excuses) that I can use for my less than stellar fishing results, other than lack of flies....
