My materials showed up in the mail today.

I'm going to stray a little from Rim's original recipe and use CDC instead of saddle hackle fuzz for the wing case; I may pull it forward, too. We'll see what develops at the vise.

Watson: That was partly my fault, I was trying to stuff that return envelope in at the last minute and there was a big line behind me. LOL!

I had a tremendous amount of success last season with this pattern. In fact, I finally broke off the skunk using this pattern on Kelly's No Tellum' Spring Creek. Most of the time I used this with a big dry/dropper rig, with the first dropper being a small BH nymph followed by the Rabbit Foot Emerger or alternately just trailing the Rabbit Foot Emerger in the film behind the dry.

Here is the receipe for the Tom Rosenbaeur Rabbit Foot Emerger:
Hook: Dai-Riki 125 size 16 (or any curved scud hook)
Thread: Brown/Olive Uni 8/0
Shuck: Amber Antron or Zelon
Under Wing: Natural colored CDC feather
Wing: Dun colored Rabbit Foot hair
Body: Brown/Olive dubbing
Thorax: Black Hare-Tron dubbing

In the mail tomorrow or Thursday after I put some toe tags on them...would do it now but it's the kids bedtime and that trumps till they can put themselves to bed!

Size 16 BWO Shucked Up Emerger (couldn't find a Dun Rabbits Foot at the local fly shops so I went with Natural)

Darn...Went to CRO, App Outfitters (which I thought may have been a longshot) TMF, and The Backpackers Shop. I like tying with that stuff so I may have to suck it up and order some materials online...Or trade you a natural for a dun
