Default Re: 2013 Swap #3 : Clouser Style Flys

Just saw this today... if there's room, I would like to share a Black-nosed Dace Clouser that has worked well for me on river smallies and stream trout.

EDIT: Oops, my bad... I just read back a page and realized the roster is full.

Next time! ;-)

Fine with me; I was going to tie up another dozen to use on the Merrimack River Shad run this Spring anyway...........

And anyone who posts with Jim Leisenring's photo has to be a keeper!

One of my favorite flies to fish in Idaho is the Mickey Finn. So put me down for a Mickey Finn Clouser .

Scrap my yellow and white to yellow and black. I came across a few old deceivers I had and there was the most productive a black and yellow. So I figure why not a clouser tied up that'a way.

Theboz: Please update my clouser that I'm tying to a Red Foxee Clouser by Joe Cornwall, a smallmouth bass pattern. Here is a YouTube video of interested:

Here's a trial run, I had to see if I could still tie them! All I had was olive thread but for the swap I'll use either black or yellow, what do you guys think?
