Guys, decided to change my fly. I"m a winged wet guy, so its only fair i submit winged wets.
This is a slight variant as the hackle should be black, but my black he wasnt up to the job, so i subbed with dun Hebert hen
so instead of dabblers, you guys are getting Kate! Have half them done, other half should be done by the weekend.

Tag - Gold tinsel
Tail - GP tippets
Rib - Gold tinsel
Body - Half yellow floss,half red floss
Wing - Cinnamon Duck quills
Hackle - Black on the original pattern, i used dun hen

Flytire's beautiful Sancuary wets arrived today in the mail! All I can say is WOW, are those gorgeous, of course I knew they would be after seeing all the flies that he posts.

  • Hook: Mustad 3906, size 14
  • Thread: Olive, UTC 70
  • Hackle: 2.5 wraps of gray Hungarian Partridge, stripped on one side
  • Egg Sac: 1 strand of DMC 6-strand embroidery floss, olive #3051
  • Body: dubbed loop of Hareline Dubbin, Hare's Ear HD4 (Leisenring style)
  • Rib: 3-4 wraps of pearl Flashabou (wiggle the rib as to not trap the dubbed guard hairs)
