Any turkey tail feather,
You want a tail feather so you can use the fibers from the tail to wrap around the hook shank, like you would use the tail fibers from a pheasant tail to make the body of a Pheasant tail Nymph. Turkey tail fibers will be longer and darker. You do not want a quill feather for this (quill feathers are from the wing--- think of a quill pen. Turkey Quill feathers are used for different things like the tail and wings of a muddler minnow)
They can be anything like "Ozark Turkey tail feathers, "Cinnamon Tip Turkey" tail feathers (not "iridescent turkey tail feathers" which are shorter and less expensive). Ozark or Cinnamon Tip Turkey tail feathers should run about $3.50 for a pair.
Any manufacturer is fine
