Ill call it the turkey and herl ( I havnt varnished the head yet I do them all at the same time)

the pattern,

Tail- golden pheasant neck green (below the tippets)
Rib- Gold fine
Body- herl
Wing- cinamin quill (turkey)
Throat- pheasant rump dyed brown
Head- black

Thread- 3/0 Brown Monocord/Black Danville’s 140 Denier Waxed Flymaster Plus
Dubbing- 60% Black Angora, 35% Claret Angora, 5% Rust Blended Rabbit evenly mixed
Rib- UTC Black Vinyl Nymph Rib
Weight- .025 Lead-Free Wire
Tails- Brown Goose Biots
Wing Pads- Turkey Feather covered with Loon Hard Head and Cut to Shape
Legs- Small brown rubber
Glue- Brush on Krazy Glue

Mark, I went Turkey Hunting/Fly fishing about a week ago. I'm sending my fly's tomorrow. I used the Turkey feathers from the birds (Turkey's) I shot. I'm kinda pleased with them. I'll call them the Turkey Vulture Fly....Ha! I'm not very creative.

I love those old cartoons too, but they don't show them on TV anymore. I tried to show some to my daughter and all I can find are a few Tom and Jerry's. It's a shame......
