Leadless it is then. Which is good, because getting the barbell on the upside down hook was almost more of a pain that it was worth.

grrr....chair on the way. geisha girl to rub ur shoulder too. Just put the hook normal in the vise. tie the eyes on the top side above the bend. the weight will flip the hook point side up

my problem is getting the shell-back tied in near the bend when the hook is upside down

i tried several times and was not satisfied with the results

yes, the bead chain eyes are just right for keeping the hook point up

if I could figure out how these work I'd be in.

i have a simple upside down bent shank crawdad that the bass in the creeks i fish seem to enjoy. originally I tied it for carp, but no go.
