this could be a great event for sure! the location, and time frame are of course the major factors in organizing something like this.

Ard.
I would like to fit it in,I could use it as a Stop Over before or after a trip back to AK as there are some places & Rivers I still want to visit & fish.
Also I want to spend some time to again visit Wyoming,Montana,Idaho, Colorado,Fishing Yellystone as well as the Rockies, time permitting,so the venue can be just about anywhere in these areas.
I'll watch the posts & keep in touch.

I think this would be a great time. Like most others time and location would be the biggest factors.

Sounds like a good idea to me!

Being retired (well, sort of), our time is pretty flexible.

We like the idea of West Yellowstone or the Paradise Valley, MT. Early Fall sure is nice out there!

Ard: This sounds like a great idea! I'm in depending on the location and timing!

JP: You're always welcome at my place! I'd love to show you the fishing opportunities in the Rockies.

Brian: Keep me in mind if you make another trip over and want to fish Wyoming. By then I will be living in Pinedale, WY which is 73 miles south of Jackson, WY. Lots of great water around that part of Wyoming.
Same goes for any other forum members that happen to be going through Wyoming, give me a shout and maybe we can hook up for some fishing.

I think it's a great idea. I am interested. It seems like the logical follow up for everyone will be timing and then location. But having the time to plan it as a vacation, clears all that up. For instance, planning a family vacation around it so my wife and kid could come would make the odds a heckuva lot higher of me attending. Unless of course it is somewhere close, i.e. Montana, then it get's a whole lot easier.

Yellowstone area is a no-brainer, except a lack of good air hubs is not good. You can fish in the park without state licenses, depending on which side of the park there is The Yellowstone or Madison outside the park for floating, an hour drive to Bozeman. Chico Hot Springs in Emigrant (in Paradise Valley) is an awesome place to stay...but now I'm getting ahead of myself...
