JP, I'll make sure I have a guest room set up to accomodate you if you do stop by, there are certainly some big fish in the area, and if I can catch them anyone can. I'm hoping I can stop by Languedoc and fish while I'm in Europe over the summer, hoping to do a bit of a European fly fishing tour

All I can offer besides a place to stay consists of great chicken wings, some good local beer, and a good amount of fishable water close by... and a personal chauffeur (me).

I do attend all my classes, I just have a hard time spending time outside classes doing things not fishing- or hockey-related... Which is exactly why I have so many assignments to catch up on and I'm not busy fishing as we speak...

Well, I have to admit that grad school was the only time in my life I could bird hunt 100 days per year.

I STILL haven't gone duck or pheasant hunting, though both are available. I've hunted quail once in Florida with my dad, but none of my friends in NY are really into duck or pheasant hunting and I've really just been fishing. SO if there's some cast-and-blast at the conference, I'm not going to complain. It can be part of a panel on gathering tying materials

When you decide to come back, you better let me know, Allan.

I love it down there. Love it!

I will - for sure!

I've got a former colleague; ex-rodeo cowboy, now President of a major Vaccine company here in the US, who hails from Missoula. He says that there's some great trout fishing right there around Missoula!

I would be interested, timing and location of course may affect my ability to attend. But even if I could not attend, I still think it is a great idea.
