I have only been there one time and I can tell you this......it is a special place that I will never forget......I hope you get to see it soon.

The meandering brook behind my boyhood home...as it was. The brook began in a crystal clear spring and meandered through forest, swamp, and some fields in SE MA on its way to the River Charles. The brook held wild brook trout, dace, and redfin pickerel year round and in the early spring white suckers would ascend for their spawning run. Since the time of my boyhood, a pond was built in its system and homes have been built down the length of the brook. The last time I fished the brook I hauled out juvenile sunfish and perch. Only found one lonely trout.

Since the thread has been brought back to life, and I'm a fickle man I'll add Kamchatka. And since it's a dream trip I'd like to flow into the depths of the wilderness and float out. There is a video of some guys doing this and it is absolutely freaking amazing. (I'll try to find the link)
