Doesn't mean you shouldn't be!

I'm a 4 piece man, matter of fact I had some great 2 piece rods and sold all of them replacing them with 4 piece rods.

Talking Re: Favorite number of rod pieces?

On the poll I put 2 piece rods because when I fish locally or on a trip where I drive I take 2 rods that are 9'0" two piece rods with reels attached in a two rod holder that I have.

If I'm flying I would take a 3 piece rod and carry the reel and other stuff is in a suit case.

4 piece. A lot of time I throw my rod tubes on the side of a backpack and all of my gear in the bag. Its convient and functional. I don't mind putting it together and I havent seen too big of a difference in strength or fluidity in the cast. I think that a 6 piece or more is over the top.

I prefer 4 piece simply because I can throw a second rod across my back and still wander through the woods, and wade without getting caught up.

You know, I don't spend enough time trying to be humorous here but I do have an answer for this that's sorta quirky but true. My favorite number of rod pieces is the number I left home with
