Scary thread, hubby went out and counted his,....25. We are very competative. He gets one, I get one, soooooo more or less, we have over 50 rods, but a couple are doubles.

We're putting an addition onto our garage starting in April, so one of the things that I had to do this weekend was to get all of my fly rods/gear out of the attic over the present garage.

I started out passing down various containers of fly fishing stuff, then went to the rods (I was up in the attic, Marty was down on the garage floor).

It was going pretty good until I heard her say. in a somewhat impatient tone: "31, 32, 33, 34, 35"...........etc. Yup, not quite as many as Mojo and Joni, but a goodly number just the same.

And, of course, all of them are absolutely necessary in order to have fun fly fishing........

Interesting observasion here for myself. I see i fit in with others, i mean owning golf clubs also. Great game. Thank goodness it's just a game. On the # of rods. I'm guessing but i know the number is north of 15. Until yesterday the largest i owned was a #6 but now i own a #7. My smallest is a #1 and i'm working on that end also. I'd love to have a 00 wt. More reels than rods. I cant fish em all so they're hanging on the walls in my shop office and on the walls for display in some ritzy Saloon here in town.

Just reached the half-dozen mark, all Allen, and no signs of stopping! Next on the most-wanted list: a 12wt for tarpon and a 12'6" 7wt for steelhead!

The addiction continues.... Purchased my third rod this week, this time a "pre-broken-in" 3/4 weight Cortland graphite from another forum member. This gives me a 3/4 Cortland, a 5 weight Orvis Clearwater, and a 7-weight Shakespeare WonderRod. Slowly building an appropriate arsenal of rods.....
