More than I need. I try to downsize, but I always find an excuse to add one more.

6! Hopefully, soon to be 7.
7' 4wt for those tight spots Orvis Clearwater
8 1/2' 4wt St Croix Imperial - nice light presentation
8 1/2' 5wt Redington CT - used as a guest rod for friends who want to try the sport and don't have gear of their own
9' 5wt St Croix Legend Elite - my go to all around rod
9' 5wt Redington Red Fly 2 - that was my first fly rod. It has been retired.
Soon to be a 9' 6wt - that all around rod that is still light enough to throw a dry fly, but big enough to handle a large streamer and/or a sinking line when conditions allow.
9' 8wt TFO BVK - for those BIG fish!

Hopefully, this will be enough for a while!

Many more than I need: about 32 with 5 waiting to be built. I will sell some eventually, but I have rods I dearly love so it will be tough.

5 total, all St. Croix:

7.5' 4wt Pro Graphite (my first "quality" fly rod)
8.5' 5wt Legend Ultra
9' 6wt Imperial
8.5' 8wt Legend Ultra
11' 7wt Imperial Switch (newest one, still learning spey casting!)

Not sure what should be next... probably either a bamboo for Driftless spring creeks in SE MN, or a travel rod that breaks down into a short tube, or 10' nymphing rod for MT/WY tailwaters, or....

Spring creek worthy bamboo is gonna cost one a pretty penny... Though a 12-16" brown still puts a nice bend in a 5wt bamboo rod...

I just snagged a brand new Hardy Sintrix 10 ft 4 wt off EBay for $350, so I'm up to 13 rods. I will probably sell a couple that I don't use very often this winter.

LOL! I'm glad that my wife won't be informed how many fly rods that I really own.

I have six rods:

-8wt
-7wt
-6 wt
-5 wt
-4 wt (two of them)

I probably use my 9 ft. 4 wt and my 9 ft. 5 wt rods the most.
