Trout,

I use the boat to get to the fish then disembark and wade to fish. The boat is the means not the way.

Being new to (well actually returning to) fly fishing, I get alot of enjoyment from wading and walking. Mostly because I now take advantage of the artificial lures and flies regulations on some of the streams here in SE Minnesota, and i walk much farther than i did when I was throwing spinners and drownin worms. I get back into the valleys and feilds that only hikers and farmers see. I find it peaceful and relaxing, and even though I have only landed one trout since i began, I enjoy the time on the water. Besides, i can stand to lose a few pounds, so i guess the excersise is good for me.
