Cutthroat Leaders

Performance: This leader took a beating, getting wrapped around trees and debris by big fish. There were no signs of fraying or damage of any kind. It was great for throwing heavy flies and double fly rigs.

Quality: The leader was constructed well. There were no visible flaws in the manufacturing. The swivel was high quality.

Appearance: I was a little concerned that the visibility of the leader seemed to be so high. It did have a cool camo type color scheme and the fish didn't seem to notice it at all.

Value: These cost quite a bit more than regular tapered leaders but if they last as long as they are reported too, the value rating should possibly be higher.

Overall: I will continue to use these and other leaders made by Cutthroat. The quality and performance alone justify using them for big fish and I suspect small fish alike.

I love my cutthroat leaders, and fairly locally made for me too. They definitely have my business. Check out there indicator system they sell, I'm likening it too.

I have 2 seasons on my "dry' and "nymph" leaders. That is about 100 days on the water with them. They are still holding up. I recently purchased an UL leader for my 3 wt. I really, really dig this one as well.

Fantastic leaders. Worth every penny.

I really like Cutthroat Leaders. I have a few of their leaders for different applications from dry flies, nymphs, and their big bug streamer leaders. I'm pretty happy with all of their performance. They cast and present the fly well, and after the initial investment are cheaper then other leaders that only last for a day or two on the water.

These are the best leaders on the market. They can really make a difference in presentation. I guide/fish 100+ days a year and these leaders have made a HUGE difference in our dry fly, shallow nymphing, and streamer fishing.
