Default northern pikeminnow?

i'm aware that a couple states in the northwest have a reward program for folks who catch northern pikeminnow.... $4 a fish or something like that.... i wish this here state had a similar program... i was wetting a line during my lunch break and found a deep pool... there must have been at least $400 worth of pikeminnow swimming around in that hole (if there was a reward for them).... so i tied on a black wooly bugger and caught 7 of them in less than 10 minutes.... big fat ones too.... probably could have caught a whole lot more but i had to return to work.... it was fun....

Here in Oregon there is a pay for fish program. Some guys make pretty good money at it. The more fish you catch, the more they pay you for them.

There are many eradication efforts in Alaska as well. There are a few Anchorage lakes that they gave the rotedone(sp) treatment to.
The most tragic result of illegal stocking is probably the western Susitna tribs like Lake Creek and Alexander. Where 10 years ago the King Salmon were plentiful and now the numbers have crashed and the pike taken over feeding heavily on the smolt.

I thoughtI had read where they had stopped a whole big project to save the endangered squaw minnow. What it used to be called. Why don't they just put in Fyke nets, and move them from where they cause problems and put them where they are endangered? Or would that be just to easy? And cheaper.
