Default 3 weight fly rods

I'm a college student and am looking for a 3 wt rod that wont break the bank. I own a few 5 wt's and am looking for something good for real tight streams. Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you

I have a Greys GS2 3wt -- 7'6" that I am happy with. Certainly worth a look-see. Online prices run @$100-115..

I have an inexpensive "gremlin fishing" 3pc 7' 3wt I bought on eBay and keep in my truck for those "unplanned opportunities". Not the best quality rod (the cork was a bit off-center, but some careful sanding improved looks ), but it catches small fish as well as my other 3wt.

My other 3wt is a Sage Vantage 4pc 7' 3wt. The Vantage is a rod that suits my casting style well (med fast) and has a bit more "backbone" than the Gremlin. I may retire the gremlin this year, but then it's one I can leave in the truck without worrying about damage or theft.

Not really trying to sell the gremlin, but if you'd be interested in a used outfit you can PM me and we could discuss it.

I'm in the exact same situation. I have a thread in the "fly rods" section that a lot of people have been posting some recommendations on that you may want to check out. I've casted the TFO signature series 7'6" 3wt and it was pretty nice. I've also casted the St. Croix Imperial 3wt, I liked it a lot, but it's on the higher end of my price range.

I've been looking at the Orvis Battenkill Barstock, GLoomis Venture 3, and after joining this forum, I've really been looking at the Allen reels. They look and sounds like a great buy. I've held the Orvis Barstock, and it's a great reel. nice and light. It's a little more than the others, but a great reel.
