Exclamation North West Fly Fishing Trip

My name is Jacob and I currently live in Texas and next May I will be taking a 3 month trip thru Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Washington, Oregon and Northern California. I am making my way to Alaska (where I am form)

I plan on focusing on Trout as well as other species. If anyone in this forum has fished or still fishes in any of these states, i would greatly appreciate any advice on what rivers that are worth fishing or even in you would like to meet up and fish, let me know.

I have been fly fishing for 8 years and 7 have been spent in Alaska fly fishing for Giant Rainbow Trout, Grayling, Dolly Varden and Salmon.

I look forward to fly fishing all of these states and meeting fellow fly fishers along the way!

Jacob

Hi Jacob,

Welcome to the forum.

I have fished in every one of the states you list including Alaska. There is no way I have time to try and give you fishing information in all those locations in one post. I suggest you break your request down into individual post for each state. It would be helpful if the responder knew your general route in each state. It seems like you will have to do some back tracking with Oregon and California in there.

Frank

Jacob: Fishing in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana in May will most likely be restricted to stillwater, tailwaters or fishing rivers that are running high with visibility limited as the spring runoff will be running.
