Default Kendall WA Questions

Hey all , I know I havent Posted in a while but would like to ask you all a question.. Here over Labor Day weekend the girlfriend and I are heading up to the Kendall wa or Maple Fall area to visit her dad.. And there is no way I am heading anywhere without my fly rod..
I was wondering if anyone knows of any good places around that are ... lakes or rivers to try with my fly rod and or if anyone knows what a non-resident washington angling license costs... Thanks everyone , I hope to post some pictures when I return .

Thanks
Jer

Hi Jer,

The Nooksack river drains that area. You can go up the Mt. Baker Highway and fish that Branch. I think it is the North Branch. There should be Summer Steelhead available. Some of the river is fishing restricted but I think it is the main river due to Salmon rehabilitation.

Fishing for Steelhead is hit or miss if you don't have some local knowledge. You need to know where the fish are at the particular time you will be fishing. A local fly shop will be a big help.
