Hi Everyone,

That is an amazing Brown Trout. Most fly fishers would not be geared up to catch something like that unless they were fishing for Salmon. I have caught 40lb Salmon in Alaska but there were not as big as this bad boy.

Very nice fish indeed! Now if that fish was caught on a fly Rod.............. I wonder if it was caught and released? Way to go!

I heard that it was not released to get measurements etc. I also saw a picture of this fish outside a fish shop so I assume the fish is expired.

It was kept - if you click on the smaller picture and follow the link to 9/10 news you can see their video of the fish and some interviews. If it was a salmon we would have no problem with it being kept so fair game I say.
I was amazed by how good looking a fish it was - those monsters are so often big ugly dark fish.
