Re: Fly Fishing Western Massachusetts
Down by the River...
Down by the banks of the River Charles
(Oh, that's what's happenin' baby)
That's where you'll find me
Along with lovers, muggers, and thieves.
(Ahh, but they're cool people)
I love that dirty water
'Oh oh, Boston, you're my home
Gee, I hope you meant eastern
Mass not western
The Charles has cleaned up considerably since the Standells 1966 hit, Dirty Water
I don't fish there myself, but a bunch of guys over on the Reel-time
forum fish there all the time
Carp, bass, stripers, and pan fish, depending on where you are.
I was out in western
Mass Thursday, East branch of the Westfield, just west of Northhampton
Real nice river, lots of access
