Default rod advise

i am currently looking at a 9ft flextec CRX88 rod its a 5 weight and i was wondering if anyone here knew if its a good rod i have done some reasearch into them and they sponsor irelands fly fishing team and that but i was wondering if anyone here had used one

and whats a good starter reel as i need one of them i'm not well off at the moment but i want a good reel that will catch some decent trout and will last and can the reel to go with the rod be a 7/8 or does it have to be a 5/6 or 4/5 any help and advise would be great

many thanks

wilky

Default Re: rod advise

Tackle discounts have been selling these rods Flextec cx66 and 88 and Spring Creek rods for a while on E bay,I bought some for friends as spare rods at a ridiculous price($24->30).They look nice .You can visit their website:[url]http://www.tacklediscounts.co.uk. You should visit british flyfishing forums to get some more info about these rods.
