I use to see that all the time ice fishing in MN. There's a reason the DNR says stay off when it nears spring time.

I saw a couple of those rescues back home on Lake St Clair. It is really cool to watch them recover the vehicle from the bottom of the lake.

Chris: Same senario in Fairbanks, AK. They have an ice road across the Chena River in the winter and every spring some bozo tries to cross when the ice gets a little too soft and sinks his rig in the river.

I think I'd just call my insurance agent instead! Seems like an awful lot of trouble to recover a vehicle that'll probably never run again, and even if it does, you've got a luxury SUV that smells like lake water!
