What color is your bug?

What's your favorite color scheme for a wooly bugger?

I'm partial to yellow with black hackle and a red tail. Unfortunately this has nothing to do with how it catches fish, I just like the looks of the thing.

I may be part fish, as I seem to like what the fishies like. That being said, Where I am-- basic black on black with black (and a little krystal flash), or olive on olive with olive. those two seem to be the most productive for me.
I guess the panfish go berserk over white on white with white....

I fish a lot of olive and black buggers. Here is an insert for my chest pack. The two back rows have my buggers. It's hard to see the black buggers in front of the olive ones. I would say olive and black buggers are my favorite. I always have a lot of them.

Here is a bugger using Spirit River Mottlebou and brown and yellow Wapsi Varigated Chenille. This is one of my favorite fall buggers for my home water.

I also fish this bugger that uses Spirit River Mottlebou and brown Doug's Bugs Glo Brite Chenille. I use this one quite a bit in the fall, too.

Purple crystal chenille, grizzly hackle and a purple tail. It has saved many otherwise slow days...:)

Definitely de[ends on the water for me. In AK I love to throw an bright olive body with a black tail and hackle. Here in southwestern PA I like a red body with a black tail and hackle but, I have to say my go-to color is a brown on brown with a gold bead head here in PA ( I think it imitates a small crawfish). Anybody ever use the STS bugger? I found it on the inet and tied a few. I can't wait to try them this spring. They look "fishy" to me.

I'm partial to Black/black and Olive/olive; both have a little flash added in the tail... I also have a few all white with a bit of flash; makes a great Steelie fly at times...

I have the best luck with an olive on olive with a little flash thrown in, but I just really like how a black/olive bugger looks.

All brown, all olive and all white, black isnt a great color on my home water, the white comes in handy when they are generating or right after they stop, the browns eat the shad comeing out of teh dam

Purple buggers are great down deep. I fish lots of olive buggers, and a weird one with grey hackle and tail, with silver holo flashabou wrapped for the body and for the tail.

I have only used the purple bugger up shallow, actually right in the grass along the shore. Lots of rainbows, nothing too big say nothing over 19" but the really big one's were on a Casual Dress, 23+ 'til my arm nearly dropped off.
