Default Re: How many of you have broken rods while casting?

I had one snap off just below the joint between the second and third section of a 4 pc 5/6 wt rod. I was also casting for bluegills, with a small BHWB. I didn't hit anything with that cast, but I know that occasionally in the past I'd have Clousers or other weighted flies hit the rod in about that place during really sloppy casting or windy days.

I just sent it back to Cortland and got a replacement in about 2 weeks. Good thing I had about 12 other fly rods to keep me going during that long wait.
